Getting Help To Stop Hair Loss

Can your physician do something to stop your hair loss?

What your doctor can do is ask you questions about:

· Diet
· Medicines you are taking
· Whether you have had a recent illness
· How you take care of your hair

If you are a woman, your doctor may ask about:

· Your menstrual cycle
· Pregnancies
· Menopause

After all this, your doctor may want you to do a physical exam to look at any underlying causes of your hair loss.

At the end of it all, blood tests and/or a biopsy (small sample cells taken to be examined under a microscope) of your scalp may be requested.

Zhara: It's actually more of a community of support and motivation more than a personal website per se. I joined a community online photo blog called fotki.com to document my personal hair journey among thousands of other
