Baldness and Psychology

The psychological effects of going bald change from person to person. Some people adapt well, while others keep fighting it every step of the way and spend thousands in replacement surgeries and medication that may or may not work.

Other alternatives include hairpieces and wigs. Business mogul Donald Trump is a celebrity who is famous for his hairpieces. Even with all of this money he has not been able to find a solution that looks truly authentic for his hair loss.

When it comes to people who have cancer and have undergone chemotherapy losing their hair – self-esteem issues can often arise. There is an organization called Locks of Love that donates hair to children who need it. Most of these children have lost their hair due to chemotherapy treatments.
